The 2018 edition of the Rolex Super Maxi Class was spectacular this year with some close racing. 3 J Class Yachts were participating in the Super Maxi devision sailing under ORC sy.

Andre Hoek of the Hoek Design office was participating on one of their three new J’s, Topaz and commented ‘great series, great conditions and close competition between the three participating J’s Topaz, Svea and Velsheda. This was the first time we raced under ORC handicap and Topaz proved very successful in it winning her Class already before the last day of racing. The other Hoek Designed J Svea rivaled with Topaz the last race day with some close match racing at the end. Svea won on JCA Handicap and Topaz on ORC handicap so overall a great success!'
