92' Aphrodite I
Ahead of her time in many ways, Aphrodite I was the first modern styled Hoek Design yacht. Launched in 1993, she has since won many plaudits for her poised shape and looks, with stand-out features being a narrow stern, low freeboard and the way the low coach roof extends gracefully along her length. This latter aspect makes Aphrodite I appear almost flush decked, and yet she retains a spacious interior of high-gloss varnished cherrywood, white ceilings and bright maple floors. Designed primarily for long-distance cruising (hence the large tank capacity), Aphrodite I's lightweight aluminium construction and clean lines make her a good performer. An extensive package of hydraulics and in-mast furling sails allow for short-handed sailing from the aft cockpit. There is another cockpit amidships for social gatherings, one of many relaxation options afforded by this luxurious superyacht.
