TC 128-2 Vijonara
Award-winning Truly Classic 128-2 Vijonara was launched in 2018 and is sister vessel to Atalante - herself a multi-award winner. In the year following her launch, Vijonara was awarded the WSA and Boat International Design Awards, showing how well the Truly Classic concept of semi custom building works. Based on a proven hull concept that owners can see and sail / charter and then make their own decisions on interior and deck layout. This highly reduces the amount of decision making.
The new yacht shares the same hull lines and keel but is customized extensively. She has for example a bowsprit that houses the light air Code 0 and asymmetric spinnaker, a complete custom Hoek Designed interior and customized deck layout. The wheel on this yacht is in front of the owners deckhouse and integrated in the mid cockpit area giving the aft cockpit the privacy and connection to the owners suite / deckhouse. Her interior is completely redesigned by us and contemporary classic. An interesting feature is the oculus in the owners cabin.
Her hull was built at Bloemsma in the Netherlands and the yacht is finished by Pendennis in the UK, this was the first time our office worked together with this famous yard. The yacht is delivered in spring 2018 under supervision by Nigel Ingram of MCM Newport.
