190' Ketch
The design of this 190 ft ketch is a further development that Hoek design has built up through the years of similar yachts in this size range such as the 180 ft ketches Adele and Marie, the 175ft sloop Erica and the 206ft schooner Athos. Many of the features developed for these various yachts have been incorporated into this new design. The hull lines of this design have been based on know-how that has been built up with computational fluid dynamic research and the practical experiences with these earlier built designs. Keel and rudder designs can be made to the client’s wishes and different interior and deck layouts are available as well. Sail plan can also be a sloop but the present ketch rigged sail plan is to the Panamax canal maximum height with a special permit to cross the bridge of the Americas. Hull construction is in aluminium although steel or composites are also options. The interior design can be completely customized both in layout and styling.
