Best Refit Award for Athos at ISS 2023
1 November 2023

We're delighted to announce that Athos has been honored with the "Best Refit" Award at the "International Superyacht Society Awards of Distinction" in 2023. Two of our other designs were recognized as finalists in their respective categories:
- 'Meraki' - 50m ketch in the category Sail (<500 GT)'.
- 'BLUE II' - 56m yacht in the category Motor (500-1500 GT)' . 

Athos wins World Superyacht Award

The Hoek Design team is very proud to announce that the 208ft schooner ‘Athos’ did win the prestigious “Best Refitted Sailing Yacht” Award at the World Superyacht Awards 2023.

The 208ft Hoek Design Schooner ‘Athos’ has undergone an extensive refit at the Huisfit facilities of Royal Huisman.

 

BLUE II wins Boat International World Superyacht Award

The expedition motoryacht Blue II won the Boat International ‘World Superyacht Award’ for Motor Yachts between 500 and 1000 GT with an almost unanimous vote by the judges. 

Vijonara wins World Superyacht Award

The team at Hoek Design is very happy and proud that Vijonara has been crowned best sailing yacht at the World Superyacht Awards 2019. We congratulate the owners, Pendennis shipyard and everybody who was involved in the build of this prestigious project.

During the Classic Boat Award ceremony, which took place on Tuesday night the 2nd of April 2019, the 66' Pilot Classic "Sultana" has been awarded as "RUNNER UP" within the category "Spirit of Tradition".

The team at Hoek Design Naval Architects is extremely pleased to have received two prestigious Neptune awards during the World Superyachts Awards 2016 ceremony in Florence.

 

J8 Topaz wins Naval Architecture Award at SDA
23 February 2016

J8 Topaz won the Showboat Design Award for the Naval Architecture work done for the new J-Class yacht. 
The judges awarded the complexity of the naval architecture work to remodel an existing linesplan for a J-Class yacht, design her structure, do the CFD work and optimize the yacht under the new handicap rules of the J-Class Association.

 

NextGEN ketch Elfje victorious in ISS Design Awards 2015

Elfje won the award for best sailing yacht in the category 40m+ as well as the best interior award over all participating sail and motor yachts this year. Including the naval architecture award (SDA) Hoek Design won earlier this year for Elfje, this hat trick of awards is very rewarding.

Truly Classic 78 "Drumfire" was voted a finalist for the 2007 Design Award of the International Superyacht Society in the category Sail Yachts between 23 and 36 meters. Drumfire was the first Truly Classic to be designed with a double cockpit and double coach roof layout, offering an aft owner's suite in a classic hull shape.
