D'Oude Liefde (ex-Satanta) was one of the first of our classic designs to be built in aluminium. She is designed for shorthanded long-distance cruising, hence her ketch rig. The interior comprises accommodations for two couples. It includes a large owners' cabin just forward of the mast and an aft guest cabin. Designed with a fixed fin keel and spade rudder, Satanta turns within one boat length and is very responsive and easy to sail. Her aluminium hull was built at Bloemsma Aluminiumbouw and finished at Claasen Shipyards. D'Oude Liefde has had her homeport in Palma for many years.
