The image of the motoryacht is changing as ‘true sailors’ come to recognise that the power fraternity do enjoy certain benefits. Major reservations remain among many, however, when it comes to looks and style… And that’s just the sort of challenge the drawing board creatives here at Hoek Design relish!
The key driver in our motoryacht concept has been to combine a retro style above water with a hypermodern planing underwater configuration. While this mirrors our success in the classic sailing yacht sector, such an approach is actually rather radical for the powerboat world.
And the briefest of glances at the renderings here will suffice to show how different our designs will be. Today’s motoryachts are way too similar, give or take small details and quality levels. We’ve transferred some of the advances seen in sailing yachts and, in the process, conceived an altogether more exciting proposition.
