90' Whirlwind (ex Aeolian)
The 90-foot sloop Whirlwind was designed for volume, hence her 6.60 m beam and medium displacement. The extra space generated below decks is taken up by a large owners' stateroom, two guest cabins, and good crew quarters forward with a separate crew mess. The design comprises a tall cutter-rigged sail plan, an imposing deckhouse and a split sailing cockpit. She was nominated for the 1998 International Superyacht Design Award.
