World Superyacht Awards 2023

12 May 2023

Boat International has announced the Finalists for the World Superyacht Awards 2023. We are proud and happy to share the news that the 63.25m schooner Athos, designed by Hoek Design and refitted by Huisfit has been nominated as finalist in the category ‘Refitted & Rebuilt Yachts’.

The refit included a 1.25 m. extension to the stern and involved the careful reconstruction of the yacht’s aft deck layout and structure. The additional length has allowed for a completely reconfigured aft deck. The main cockpit has been redesigned to allow for a significantly larger dining table and improved seating.

The main deckhouse layout has undergone significant changes to the layout and styling, and more forward a new, third deckhouse has been constructed in way of the former companionway.

Also, lower deck a lot of improvements have been established, in layout as well as in styling. The owner’s cabin and one guest cabin layout have been redesigned. The galley has been refitted and a separation between the galley and main salon has been incorporated.

To improve the performance, Athos has received new booms, new sails and new carbon rigging, new navigation etc.

The winners will be revealed during an exclusive ceremony held in Istanbul, Turkey (19-20 May 2023).
