THE TEAM
Founded in 1986, Hoek Design Naval Architects has become highly specialised in the design of custom-built yachts. With Andre Hoek and Ruurt Meulemans at the helm, the team has developed in tandem with the complexity of the projects and the yachts. Today it comprises stylists, naval architects, marine engineers, hydrodynamicists, interior architects, graphic designers and economists. We strive to continuously develop our designs and company in order to keep Hoek Design at the forefront of developments in yacht design.
One of the latest new recruits is senior naval architect, Martijn van Schaik from Seahorse Naval Architects. Martijn has taken charge of the round and flat-bottomed yachts department, while the rights of the existing designs of Martijn van Schaik / Seahorse are now owned by Hoek Design. Martijn has already been partnering with us for a number of years and is responsible for well-known lemsteraak builds.
