Designed and built under ABS rules with three watertight bulkheads, the classic aluminium sloop "Tintagel" offers comfortable cruising for two couples. Her deck layout with hydraulic winches can be sailed two-handed, and the cutter rig with furling sails allows for a flexible sail configuration. Only minor changes are therefore needed for fully crewed racing.
"Tintagel" has twice won the Round Admiralty Island Race in Alaska. This impressive performance can also be attributed to her carbon mast, wing keel and balanced skeg rudder. As well as racing there, "Tintagel’s" owners also cruise extensively in Alaska. The centrally heated interior is therefore designed in mahogany panelling for warmth, while white varnished ceilings provide light. Her serious specs package also includes a hydraulic powerpack, watermaker, air-conditioning, radar and every navigational aid required for ocean passages.
